A minimal tablescape for small gatherings

As we grow as a family unit of four, we realize how important it is that we create our own traditions.  For the past several years, the thought of staying home has been one of comfort and great independence.  But whether you are staying home with your family or hosting a small friends-giving, you are going to want to wow your guests with hospitality, decor and over all creativity.  Oh, wait, I just explained how I wow my friends.  But if minimalism has captured your heart and ur bills have simultaneously captured your spendings, look no further.  Actually, you will have to look below.  Let's start there.
This post is not sponsored.  Every well thought out opinion, is that of Mom Jeans & Mimosas.

Every minimal tablescape uses what you already have on hand.  With my newest creation, I pulled out my Target dollar aisle cake stand, my old Halloween pumpkins and finally Rosemary and Eucalyptus from Trader Joes.  I also had some inexpensive candles that add a bit of ambiance and placed them on top of some wooden stars from Target.  The stars were a recent find but I just could't pass them up since they were a dollar each and can be used all year long!  I arranged these items in two different ways:

Cake-stand Centerpiece

A great way to arrange a small gathering when there is something (a turkey or main dish) that is to be shown off.  Even if you are just serving pie as a desert table, this is an easy, clean set up that allows for little waste and prep time before hand.

Personal Place Settings

Replace the standard name tags with cute keepsake items that your guests can take home this season.  For our family of four, we used our personalized peg dolls from one of my favorite small shops:
Teeny Weeny Toys who captured our hearts with their creative touch.  Just take a look at these dolls and how they make a placemat your place.  You can shop their dolls here and customize anything as long as you have an image to go by.  You could even use a natural theme, a wooden animal theme, a reindeer theme or a nativity set.  Really, the possibilities are endless!
