The Fourth is always a favorite of mine! I like to think of it as the Summer version of Christmas. We always have a great time as long as we’re together.
We celebrated in Culver City (at my old college-West LA) this year. We grabbed coffee, snacks and I even got a photo of my hubz “posing for the camera.” But there were a few things I didn’t expect. For instance, my phone died before the sun set and I got hit in the head by a rouge Frisbee. I literally cried and not to mention it was really embarrassing. But after the sun diminished, we cuddled under our biggest blanket, took Snaps and watched the timeless fireworks show. It was so perfect.
I hope that I can teach my kids how to love their country, support our troops and have pride in our Red, White and Blue. What did you do for America’s birthday?
