A place that charges at the door, doesn’t serve alcohol and only stays open till midnight is ironically refereed to as the happiest place on earth. Mom’s, are we okay with this? Much like Target’s spell of automatically making you purchase 50 thousand things more than you need, Disneyland operates similarly. But hey, Yolo. We frequent Disneyland once a year and this year was Ace’s birthday…
So, we started our “pre-party” aka buying stuff before we buy stuff at Target. We were actually shopping for clothes for the kids when we came up on the Junk Food + Target collab called H A P P Y for Mickey’s 90th Anniversary collection. They carry vintage inspired Mickey pieces from Tee’s to jumpers for the whole family. I was shocked at how fun, soft and pairable these pieces were. We snagged a TON of gear and planned to wear a few of them for the Disneyland trip.
We rode a few rides but the kids were a little unsure of the speed, velocity etc so we opted for shows and entertainment. I opted to eat my face off because the carbs are everywhere in that park. We saw the Tangled theater show, the pixar parade and of course, took a load of photos. Penny ruined her tee by sliding into her plate of grease. I mean, pizza. With grease. (😩)
The crowds weren’t that crazy and the lines were opening up for us. No waiting 45 minutes or anything. The Disney Gods were in our favor. Maybe it was the blessing we received from a pair of storm troopers who hand-picked my sister-in-law and threatened to take her to section 8 cell block. Luckily, I was able to snap a few pics for that moment.
If you noticed the bubbles (in every photo almost!), that’s because we grabbed a few of the Disney bubble machines and the kids wouldn’t stop running them. For the money, I’d say buy these because they last for a while and you can refill them when you get home with more bubbles.
