The Padded Parka

_____________________

Dash through the snow or shop the streets of your local metro in an affordable, plush parka. This age-old outerwear staple can be loosely defined as a long, hooded coat designed to keep the rain (and the cold) out, yet it’s available in a few key forms.  There isn’t any other coat that has transformed as much as the parka.  Luckily, I’ve found some stunners at or below $100 most covering the bum area as an essential way to keep warmer.  Dress up your parka with a cute hat and pair of hiking boots.

The Utility Jacket

_____________________

Based off Military cuts and colors, utility jackets really never go out of style.  They just keep coming back full force every season.  You can pair it perfectly with hiking boots or switch it up over a sleek dress for an unexpected look.  I love mixing textures and items that you don’t usually see together.  This is my absolute favorite thing to do.

Now drop down and give me 20!

The Trench

If there was a coat that reigned longer than the trench coat, I’d like to know what it is because it doesn’t get any more classic than this.  If you don’t want to be buying coats every season, invest in a trench that has good lining and a belted closure.  They can be thrown over an every day shirt and tee or to cover you on a night out.  Really, there’s always a place for a trench in everyone’s closet.

The Teddy

This seasons coveted “it” coat is now available for everyone to try.  At first, I will admit that I wasn’t a fan until I tried a shaggy jacket on.  This one (in the photo above) has the softness of a new baby puppy!  It’s light, warm and the color could not be more gorgeous.  The best part about this Teddy trend is that there is one for every budget.  This particular one I’m wearing above is from Tresvu.com  and is only $59.00!  Shop the coat by clicking here.
