Finally we see sun! Thank goodness! Although we needed the rain, my soul was so happy to see and feel that warm star shine down on us Angelinos. Before I jump in to this weekend, I wanted to share a new find that has really changed the way I feel in my clothes. A few weeks back, I shared where I get my clothes when I don’t feel like falling in line with fashions current trends (IE, cookie-cutter items that everyone else has.) You can actually read that article here. But basically, I shop vintage and second hand. I love breathing new life in to unwanted clothes. It’s either that or I hug a tree to feel better about recycling. Come to think of it, I probably do both since I have many-a-palm trees to hug. 🙂

I got such positive feedback on my paper-bag trousers that I went ahead and added them to the shop. I was hesitant (I’ll admit) to add anything short of a skirt or dress because those are so easy. But here we are! And I’m actually pleasantly surprised at how cozy these adorable trousers are! Among the many reasons they can be worn year round, they also are high waisted, roomy and comfortable.
Even though pleats, buttons and a belt are what forms these pants, they can be styled down for a casual day or vice-versa. I personally like to style them down adding a pair of sneakers and basic, white crop-top. I also like the whole natural color palette that resembles a safari excursion. I purposely threw on some animal print with a polished black backpack to add a twist to these pants.
Carrera Cafe, which sits nestled between Reformation and the Paul Smith pink wall, is the perfect place to shoot photos and grab a great cup of coffee. They are pet friendly and more than willing to write your IG handle in your foam. Serious! Just ask them at the counter. They actually have pre-made foam captions or you can make your own. The exterior of the building is just as cute as the interior. All white with a hint of Italian style. It’s almost like you’re not in LA. Scroll down for product details and the cutie’s that got in on the fun… Hint, one is furry and one is funny. Both are very cute!

Other helpful articles: This one tip will set your style apart if you’d like to know more about shopping consignment! It’s a good one especially if you are in the LA area. Btw, how did you guys get by during the IG hiatus? I loved the day off and actually did a lot of sketching. I’ve already mentally prepared myself for this sort of chaos and there’s no better time to practice patience and stress than a world-wide IG outtage! Anyways, I highly suggest making the leap in to a comfy pair of paper-bag trousers. I promise that you won’t feel like a paper bag in em. What pants are you in to at the moment?
