I’m here to staycation! And that’s exactly what we did! Recently, we celebrated hubby’s 35th birthday. I wanted to do something fun but there was so much going on in early April. We were in the middle of finding out if he (my husband) was going to be getting the position he’d applied for and possibly talking about moving. I really felt like we needed some time to relax but we couldn’t do anything that would pull us away too long…
Having major responsibility immediately eliminated staying outside the city. I wanted something nearby since we didn’t have a sitter booked for more than a few hours. It would have been a lovely secret if it weren’t for Ace telling my husband “we have a secret surprise Dada, its in a hotel… But we can’t tell you.”
Aside from that, booking this boutique hotel was easy because I used Hotel Tonight app. I’ve used them before. You can read more about Hotel Tonight here. It’s best used for those last minute spontaneous adventures. It’s especially easy when your adventure is close by. I think I’d be a little more hesitant to book with Hotel tonight if it was in another city far away since you can only book 7 days out.
When I saw this gem, I knew it would be a great low-key spot. Colorful corners and warm, eclectic furniture, The PaliHotel in Culver City has personality and great local access to downtown Culver. If Pali Hotel was a drink at a bar, she would be an old-fashion. Classic and refined but not pretentious. It had the vibe and style that fit perfectly with Romeo and his lifestyle. I knew he’d love it. We stayed one night in a courtyard faced room on the second floor. The concierge upgraded us to a bigger suite with all the amenities. It even came with a book for reading. Every little corner boasted of some aesthetically pleasing visual. My favorite part was the opening to the bathroom with a semi-sheer wall separating the restroom from the bedroom. But even that view didn’t come close to the comfort of the bed which seemed like an endless sea of pillows and softly folded sheets. I have never slept in a softer and more comfortable bed… Hands down. Pali really has it giong on.
We had such a great stay at PaliHotel Culver City! We hope we can visit the one in Seattle soon! I recommend checking them out if you are in the area. I also recommend using Hotel Tonight app for your next booking. So far, we’ve used them several times and have always had a great, no-fuss booking. Would you stay at a hotel like this?
