First you set your clock forward and then it’s a roller coaster ride of spring breaks, iced coffee’s and festival fringe everywhere you look. For us Mom’s who fancy getting out every now and then, it’s also a time we fall in line to attend the millions of weddings being held (as if the outdoor kid birthdays didn’t already swallow up our precious weekends.) But we at MJ&M love LOVE and we will gladly celebrate it. But not at the expense of our style, wallet and comfort. That’s basically our motto here. Dress cute but not Kim K cute in heels while 8 months pregnant. Nah. It’s more like dress cute but comfortable. Be bougie but budget bougie because we don’t need more things. We need carefully curated wardrobes that can carry us through seasons while simultaneously being easy on the wallet.
Introducing this seasons most coveted style: The square toed heel. J. Adams shoes are uniquely affordable and high quality. Built with a woman in mind, and all the places shes goes, J. Adams gives you options + they are keen on the newest styles like these square toed double strapped heels. Available in gold, clear black and white (all of them are so desirable). Particularly these gold Stormi heels (which is basically a neutral) are perfect to pair with a slip dress for any wedding you might be attending. As one of this seasons hottest trends (via Pinterest fashion forcast), the pearl earrings were an easy pick. The clutch has a secret hidden chain in gold and the fringe bangs are still topping the charts as the #1 searched for hair style next to messy buns. But please don’t cut your hair just yet…
Below you will find my more daring selection, this vegan snake skin print. The Camila strappy square toed heel offers a back strap to hold your foot in for some post-reception dance moves while maintaining a very complimentary height. Typically lower heels can make your feet look longer and more bulky but these heels look so polished and can hang with the cupid shuffle… if need be. They come in this print and also black and yellow (which is great for spring!) I think either the above heel or this snake skin one would work with nearly all of my closet but that might also have something to do with the fact that I have a capsule wardrobe. If you are interested in minimizing your clutter and curating a wardrobe that can be paired and shared over and over with ease, stick around. I am going to be sharing how I created a capsule wardrobe and can easily find, and pair, nearly everything. Also, it happens to be good for the environment, your wallet and looks aesthetically pleasing if you fancy displaying them on a clothing rack. So make sure you stick around for that on Mom Jeans & Mimosas.
Sorry, I had to add that last iPhone image to the blog. I recently got a new iPhone 11 and I really am finding that I like to capture images with the new camera. It’s pretty decent! Oh, and I might want to explain that white sneaker in the middle and why it was absent in this post. I will be sharing a DIY for spring featuring these cool-girl platforms very soon!
Well I hope you enjoyed this post. Are you already invited to a wedding or two or is it just me? Let me know if you have tried J. Adams below and what your go-to for wedding’s is. Until next time,
