It’s that time again! Where the lines at target stretch around the building and the talk of pumpkin spice latte’s is at the top of every conversation. Yes, it is fall. But what’s most exciting during fall for me is the fashion. This seasons fashion forecast is predicting tons of wearable trends but are they practical? As a mom, There’s just some trends that don’t work well while carrying a baby and coaxing your seven-year-old to not run from you at the store with bribery… and that’s where I come in. I sourced the runways top trends and narrow them down to my top five styles that you can re-create easily at home for next to nothing. Not to mention the inspiration has also come from a few girls straight from Instagram who are nailing some of their own LEWKS in a unique way…
My first favorite trend this fall is belting your blazer. The silhouette that’s trending right now is an ultra strong shoulder with a focus on the waist. This is in homage of the 80s where women’s power suits in the workplace portrayed a boss babe image, that began to further crack the patriarchy egg of society. Almost all of us on a decent blazer and a belt so this trend is easily achieved without spending any money. Pictured is my friend Natasha and you can check out her fashion tips by following her on IG or click here.

Another trend that won’t cost you anything is the knitted vest trend.. Prada, Dior, and Lacoste all sported knitted vests on their runway shows. If you are more like “the understated dresser”, you could pair similar knitted tops with trousers in the same color spectrum to elongate the body. Another fun way would be to put the vest over a puffy see-through sleeve To add a fun twist. Try it like my friend Michelle from above and see her lovely feed here. Make sure you give her a follow!

Knit sets are not only monochromatically pleasing but they are also very comfortable and can upgrade your loungewear game. I love how sets can be worn together or separate to create even more looks for fall. You can take them from a day at home to a night out and pair them with almost any type of shoe that best compliments your style. Try these sets from bymusthaves or you can always shop my store, Shop Tres Vu for our cool-LA girl sets!

OK this trend really excites me. Medium to extra chunky chains are back in style!! These chain links are seen as necklaces, belts and also as handbag straps. Try a chunky chain over some knitted wear or as a bracelet outside of your long sleeve shirt. I’m pretty sure you can find a chain link necklace in your mom‘s jewelry box or you can fashion one yourself from the craft store. Either way, this look is luxe and feels very chic. Pictured above is our chain link choker at an affordable $12! Perfect as a bracelet. Find it here.

I hesitated adding this as a trend because it doesn’t seem very practical. Leather is back. Either faux leather or real leather (I prefer the dupe) Can be worn so many different ways that adding it is actually a lot easier than it seems. From paper bag style trousers to leather tops, this texture will bring an upgrade to any outfit. I prefer leather skirts but you might prefer leather jackets. Either way, adding anything leather wise to your wardrobe this fall will be right on trend. Focus on upcycling if possible so we can eliminate waste and be more eco-conscious. How perfect is Sharon in this leather set? She is absolute perfection and ready for fall! Make sure to follow her here.
Other fall trends That I didn’t include for practicality sake and for price sake.
Fringe for fall
Bold Red
Stirrup leggings
Suit sets
Statement collars
What trends will you be trying? Any of these? If you do, make sure to tag me so I can share on my feed! I’d love to see what you guys come up with!
