High-waisted, pleated pants will divide those who want to dive right in to a new trend from those that just want to wait in the shallows. But no fear, I understand these roomy, updated cult favorites can intimidate some. And as you read this post, you will see that these more-movement classics aren’t just made for the office or every posh guy from all the 90’s Rom Coms. They are made from the everyday girl like you and me. With an updated waist and tweaks on silhouette, there’s something for everyone. We will be exploring my favorite pair thus far and also a range of other pleated pants that fit your taste.

A good Sport:
A great juxtaposition on the pleated trouser is to pair it with an unlikely top such as a sports bra and blazer. This is a bolder look that might confuse your grandma but would definitely get some compliments by local LA designers and millennial Instagramers. Pair with a Dad sneaker or high top converse for a cool girl twist.
Posh and Polished:
The most simple way to dress up these trousers can really be the most gorgeous way. Sometimes, sticking to what you know works best. Pairing a white button up and a low heel is acceptable for the office and a zoom call. Although I do have my blouse un-buttoned, it’s probably best to leave yours buttoned if you are in the professional world. I really like the un-buttoned look for an added allure. Bring on the pasties!
Street Style chic:
Another unexpected pairing can be done with a sneaker and graphic tee. Really, in my opinion, any graphic tee will work. I chose to go with a vintage looking one and tucked in the sleeves to my bra to make it sleeveless. It’s a great update to a tee shirt without actually chopping off the sleeves in case you want to wear it as is later. Which one is your favorite?
Thanks for reading guys! I will be working on a new blog post weekly. Up next is “reworking a new white blouse”
